This privacy notice describes how ZenTorq Detailing Sdn Bhd (hereafter "ZenTorq", "we", or "us") handles personal data collected through this website and through our customer relationships. We comply with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
1. Who we are
ZenTorq Detailing Sdn Bhd is a private company registered with SSM under reference 202301045892 (1539476-X). Our trading address is Lot 12, Jalan Damai 5, Bangsar South, 59200 Kuala Lumpur. The data controller for this website is the studio manager, reachable at [email protected].
2. What personal data we collect
We only collect the information needed to respond to enquiries and deliver our services. That includes:
- Identification details — your name and, on visit, your vehicle registration plate.
- Contact details — your phone number and email address, submitted through forms or shared in conversation.
- Service details — what you've asked us to do, paint condition notes, and photographs of your vehicle taken in our bay.
- Technical details — anonymised browser type, device type, and pages visited on this website (used in aggregate only).
3. Why we use it
We rely on your data only for the purposes you'd expect: replying to enquiries, scheduling visits, processing payments, fulfilling warranty registrations with our coating partners, and sending appointment reminders. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
4. Photographs of your vehicle
We take before-and-after photographs of every vehicle in the bay so we can share a job report with you. We do not publish these on our website or social channels without explicit permission. Where you've permitted public sharing, we always crop the registration plate before publication.
5. How long we keep data
Enquiry data is retained for 24 months after our last conversation. Customer records are retained for 7 years to satisfy Malaysian tax and bookkeeping obligations. Photographs are retained for the duration of any active warranty plus 12 months. After those windows, records are securely deleted.
6. Your rights under PDPA
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it if it's wrong, and to ask us to stop processing it for marketing purposes. You may also withdraw consent for any non-essential use at any time. Send a request to [email protected] and we'll respond within 21 days.
7. Sharing with third parties
We share data with a small number of trusted partners only when necessary: our payment provider (for transaction settlement), our coating manufacturer (for warranty registration on coated vehicles), and our accounting firm (for tax reporting). Each is subject to a written confidentiality agreement.
8. Cookies

9. Children
Our services are aimed at vehicle owners aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

If we change this notice we'll update the date at the top and post a brief change log here. Material changes will be communicated to active customers by email.
