ZenTorq started in 2016 as a single-bay outfit behind a Cheras petrol station. Today we work out of a controlled studio in Bangsar South — same crew, same approach, just a quieter room.
Slow, deliberate, and never rushed.
We hold each bay for one car at a time. That means a wash isn't squeezed between two corrections, and a correction isn't squeezed between two coatings. Every job gets the same focused attention, whether it's a 45-minute foam-bath or a two-day Crystal Serum job.
Behind that idea is a simple discipline: handwash only, two-bucket wash with grit guards, plush microfibre on every panel, and never reuse a contaminated towel. The principles read like a checklist; in practice they take years to do well.
A controlled space, not a roadside tent.
The studio is filtered, climate-controlled and lit with halogen swirl-finder lighting along both bays. You'll see the corrections in real time: blemishes pop under the lights, then disappear panel by panel as we work.
The drying area sits in a separate chamber so coatings can cure without dust. We don't take walk-ins — every visit starts with a booked appointment so the bay is ready for your car when you arrive.
Boring brand names. Reliable results.
RUPES BigFoot dual-action machines for correction. Koch-Chemie compounds and pads matched to each clear coat. Gtechniq Crystal Serum and EXO for ceramics, with the certification audit to back it up. Meguiar's for protective layers between visits.
We don't chase trendy products. The kit is chosen because it's predictable — the same compound on the same paint gives the same finish every time. That's the whole job.
Nine years, one ambition.
- 2016 — One bay in CherasFounder Aizat opens a single-bay handwash beside a petrol station. The first regulars are family friends with neglected daily drivers.
- 2018 — First correction workA trip to Bangkok for RUPES training adds machine polishing to the menu. The studio quietly stops offering automated tunnels altogether.
- 2020 — Gtechniq accreditationThe team passes the Gtechniq applicator audit and begins offering Crystal Serum coatings with manufacturer warranty.
- 2023 — Move to Bangsar SouthThe studio relocates to a two-bay unit in Bangsar South. Climate control, halogen lighting, and a dedicated cure chamber arrive with it.
- 2025 — TodayEight detailers, around 1,400 cars detailed in the last twelve months, and a calendar that books out roughly a week in advance.
